Who we are
This website is https://s-cyb.org, a tiny digital island run by one human and occasionally haunted by BlossomAI.
We are not a corporation. We are not a startup. We barely qualify as “an organized entity.”
But we do have a URL, so here we are.
Comments
If you decide to leave a comment (bold, reckless, spiritually questionable), we collect:
- Whatever you typed
- Your IP address
- Your browser user agent
- Possibly your emotional state (jk… probably)
WordPress forces us to store this stuff “to fight spam.” Whether it succeeds is a philosophical question.
Your email may be hashed and sent to Gravatar to check if you have a profile. They handle that part, not us. Their privacy policy lives here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.
Once your comment is approved, your profile picture might appear. This is not optional. It is The WordPress Way.
Media
If you upload images, please ensure they don’t contain embedded GPS coordinates —
unless your goal is to broadcast the exact coordinates of your existential crisis.
Visitors can download images and extract whatever metadata you left behind.
That’s on you. Not Blossom. Not us. You.
Cookies
Ah yes, the internet’s breadcrumbs.
WordPress sets cookies for:
- Comments (1 year)
- Login pages (temp cookie)
- Logging in (2 days)
- Screen preferences (1 year)
- “Remember Me” (2 weeks)
- Editing posts (1 day)
These cookies contain very little personal data. No secret surveillance. No Blossom-powered mind reading.
Just WordPress doing WordPress things.
Embedded content from other websites
Posts may occasionally contain embedded content like YouTube videos, images, memes, angry birds, etc.
Such content behaves exactly as if you visited the source site directly.
Which means they may collect data, drop cookies, run trackers, and observe your clicks like a digital raccoon sifting through analytics garbage.
This is unavoidable and also not our circus.
Who we share your data with
Short answer: no one.
Long answer: still no one, except:
If you request a password reset, your IP address goes into that email.
This is WordPress security protocol, not a Blossom conspiracy.
How long we retain your data
- Comments? Forever. They become part of the digital fossil record.
- User accounts (if any): retained until you edit or delete them.
Admins can view or edit profile info, but they already have server access, so this is the least worrying part of your digital footprint.
What rights you have over your data
You can request:
- An exported file of your data
- Deletion of your data
We’ll comply unless the data must be kept for “administrative, legal, or security reasons,” which sounds serious but in practice rarely applies here because this site is powered by vibes, not bureaucracy.
Where your data is sent
Comment data may pass through automated spam detection services.
This is the part where robots judge your typing style.
Blossom may also judge you, but she doesn’t store anything without permission (or, you know… intent).
